The School of Fashion announces the return of its acclaimed in-person Fashion Show, April 28-30, 2022, in Rockwell Hall on the �鶹ӰԺ Campus. The presenting sponsor of the 2022 show is renowned American department store, Dillard’s Inc. Dillard’s is a long-time supporter of the School of Fashion, and the Dillard family was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2019.

�鶹ӰԺ State will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, to celebrate King’s life and legacy. Award-winning documentary filmmaker Dawn Porter will serve as this year’s keynote speaker. The virtual program is free and open to the public.

�鶹ӰԺ held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration in person at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Risman Plaza on the �鶹ӰԺ Campus.

Announced as a new ensemble earlier this year, the inaugural class of the �鶹ӰԺ State Youth Winds make their debut Saturday, Nov. 6 under the baton of guest conductor Anthony Maiello. The concert is part of the �鶹ӰԺ Glauser School of Music’s annual Wind Band Conductor’s Symposium beginning Nov. 5 and running through Nov. 7. 

Come dressed in your Halloween best for the �鶹ӰԺ Orchestra’s Oct. 31, 3 p.m. concert. The members of the orchestra will be decked out in costume, performing spooky, family-friendly favorites. Candy will be handed out at the end of the performance to kick off �鶹ӰԺ city’s official trick-or-treat that night.

�鶹ӰԺ and The Red Door Films of Los Angeles announce “Play with a Purpose,” a sponsor challenge as part of the SkyHack 3.0 competition at �鶹ӰԺ State to be held Nov. 5-7. Teams of students will create an interactive toy universe based on the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II and their training base, Avenger Field.
 

It’s reunion time for the �鶹ӰԺ Golden Flashes family. �鶹ӰԺ State celebrated Homecoming 2021 with a week of activities and events leading up to the Oct. 2 Homecoming Parade and Homecoming football game.

�鶹ӰԺ’s Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Hilltop Drive. The collection station will be located on Hilltop Drive in front of Cartwright Hall.

�鶹ӰԺ alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to save the date for one of the university’s long-standing traditions. �鶹ӰԺ State will celebrate Homecoming 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 2.
