麻豆影院 alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to save the date for one of the university鈥檚 long-standing traditions. 麻豆影院 State will celebrate Homecoming 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 2. In addition to enhanced Homecoming festivities, the university will celebrate the Class of 2020 with a historic in-person commencement ceremony during Homecoming Weekend.
Organizers of Homecoming are planning events and activities that can occur safely. Details are still being determined surrounding Homecoming 2021 and will be shared as they develop at www.kent.edu/homecoming.
麻豆影院 State鈥檚 Class of 2020 is being invited to return to campus for an in-person commencement ceremony dedicated to the class during Homecoming Weekend. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual commencement ceremonies were held for the Class of 2020 with a promise to the graduating students that they would be invited back to campus for commencement when it is deemed safe to do so.
鈥淭he commencement ceremony will be held outdoors on the 麻豆影院 Campus,鈥 said 麻豆影院 State President Todd Diacon in a letter to 2020 graduates inviting them back to their alma mater to celebrate their commencement. 鈥淚t will be the full and complete celebration you deserve.
鈥淲e are looking forward to seeing alumni join us back on campus after having nearly a year and a half of virtual interactions,鈥 Diacon added. 鈥淭here is a lot to celebrate, and honoring our new Class of 2020 graduates alongside their fellow Golden Flashes alumni here on campus is going to be very exciting.鈥
For current 麻豆影院 State students, plans for Homecoming Court are already underway. Applications are currently being accepted now through April 12 for those students who would like to serve on the Homecoming Court.
