Tatee Sakr's path to success in the fashion world started at �鶹ӰԺ. As a 19-year-old immigrant to the U.S., Sakr chose �鶹ӰԺ because it was close to her new home in Cleveland and had a reputable fashion design program. Now an industry professional, she is giving back as a key faculty member.

The ever-popular, award-winning musical “Annie” is now playing at �鶹ӰԺ’s Porthouse Theatre at Blossom Music Center from July 19-Aug. 4. 

�鶹ӰԺ celebrates its ninth American Academy commencement in Brazil, with 20 students participating. The program offers Brazilian students a unique opportunity to earn dual credits and explore majors before choosing to complete their degrees in the U.S. or Brazil.

A faculty member in �鶹ӰԺ State's College of Architecture and Environmental Design and his teammates earned a silver medal  in the 2024 Pan-American Master Games. 

�鶹ӰԺ State's College of Public Health has launched a three-year initiative, funded by Medical Mutual, to enhance senior health and wellness in Greater Cleveland. The project includes a comprehensive community needs assessment involving over 20 senior centers, continuing education for senior center staff, and bi-weekly visits from �鶹ӰԺ State's "Mobile Flashes" student teams.

On July 19 and 26, �鶹ӰԺ Admissions welcomes high school students and transfer students to campus for student-led tours. Visiting students and their parents learn about life at �鶹ӰԺ State, support services, programs of study and, sometimes, get to meet campus celebrities.

Former �鶹ӰԺ football player Will Matthews continues to find success with his Southern Comfort Kitchen food truck and restaurant. He first came up with the idea while a student at the university.

KENT, OH – Jakyah Beatty, a 2018 alumna of the fashion merchandising program, is headed to Ghana for a sustainability project in the textile and apparel industry. Beatty recently received a  to investigate the environmental, social and economic effects of overconsumption in the Global North on Ghana.

Recently, university photographers were invited inside Crawford Hall, the new home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, to capture images of the progress in its construction. 

�鶹ӰԺ State has been named a Regional Programming Center by the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, joining a statewide network to enhance cybersecurity education and workforce development. As part of this initiative, the university will contribute to various programming activities and host outreach events in Northeast Ohio, furthering its commitment to excellence in cybersecurity engineering education.

�鶹ӰԺ and Cleveland Clinic have announced a multiyear partnership in which Cleveland Clinic becomes the official healthcare provider for �鶹ӰԺ State Athletics. Cleveland Clinic will serve as the medical services provider to support �鶹ӰԺ State student-athlete health and wellness.

�鶹ӰԺ State staffers travel the globe to share all that's great about our university and recently traveled to Pakistan to meet with high school students and counselors. 

The �鶹ӰԺ student organization Her Campus took top honors from its national organization for a week of events the group held in April to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

�鶹ӰԺ State student Elizabeth Marhefka recognized as ARI-AHEC’s 2024 Scholar of the Year. The senior biology and premed student was honored for her passion for medicine and commitment to community engagement.

The final weeks of the Spring Semester bring a flurry of activity to the College of Architecture and Environmental Design as students prepare to present their final projects. 

�鶹ӰԺ State welcomes Notre Dame College students with a streamlined transfer process.

Each spring, students in �鶹ӰԺ State's Child Development Center look forward to "Bioblitz." It's a day spent in the woods near their center with exploration, discovery and hands-on learning about nature. 

The whimsical musical "Nunsense" takes the stage at �鶹ӰԺ State's Porthouse Theater from July 5 - 13.
