University Libraries’ Performing Arts Library at �鶹ӰԺ hosted its Open Mic Lunch on Nov. 1, where students and university community members came together to showcase their talents and connect through live music. 

�鶹ӰԺ honored all who have served with Veterans Day Commemoration ceremonies Friday on the �鶹ӰԺ Campus’ Student Green.

KSU Navigate, a new technology platform more than two years in the making, will fully launch on Nov. 18, giving �鶹ӰԺ students an easy and efficient way to schedule tutoring and academic advising putting them on track for success in their coursework.

As excitement builds for the upcoming event hosted by your student group, you plaster posters on lamp posts and the sides of campus buildings to promote it. While �鶹ӰԺ State supports events created by student organizations, there is a right way and a right place to hang posters on campus.

As a first-generation college student coming from Wisconsin, I found the college experience nerve-wracking. I didn't have anyone nearby to support me, and I didn’t know anyone who had this shared identity. �鶹ӰԺ State's "I Am First Week" honors us and our struggles.

Standing at the Kennedy Space Center’s Banana Creek viewing area on Monday, November 4, Mackenzie Guy watched in awe as her research project blasted off toward the International Space Station, marking a milestone in her academic journey that transcended her aviation studies.

�鶹ӰԺ State Tuscarawas brought home the school's first national championship in volleyball with a win over Penn State Hazletown in the championship match. 

The �鶹ӰԺ community paid tribute to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces at the annual Veterans Day Commemoration. The program, titled “Honoring All Those Who Serve,” included a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from �鶹ӰԺ State’s Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC programs.

�鶹ӰԺ will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. No classes are scheduled, and university offices are closed.

�鶹ӰԺ State’s School of Fashion has long fostered deep industry connections, and on Nov. 7 those partnerships were on full display as the school hosted a fashion show in Cleveland’s Flats district to launch the new all-electric Porsche Macan.

The University Library hosted a "Post-Election Exhale" event to help students destress with crafts, tips from �鶹ӰԺ State's Counseling and Psychological Services and friendly, fuzzy therapy dogs. 

The university is implementing proactive financial measures to position itself for continued success, ensuring it can continue to fulfill its mission of providing high-quality education and supporting the success of its students for generations to come.

Meet Allison Remick, a junior pre-veterinary zoology major with a minor in vocal music and a member of the Honors College from Grove City, Ohio. Her career dream is driven by her deep passion for animals and a desire to make life better for creatures that can't speak for themselves.

�鶹ӰԺ understands the financial impact course materials have on students and is taking measures to reduce those costs to Golden Flashes. University Libraries hosted the 2024 Affordable Course Materials Summit, the fourth of its kind, aiming to promote the use of inexpensive course materials among faculty.  

Now there’s good news for people with mild to moderate hearing impairment. The FDA recently authorized the first over-the-counter hearing aid software device intended to be used with compatible versions of the Apple AirPods Pro headphones. As with any decision about your health, before you plug in, consult with a medical professional. So that’s what �鶹ӰԺ State Today did.

�鶹ӰԺ awarded its first three doctoral degrees in 1964 and recently celebrated that anniversary at the �鶹ӰԺ Hotel and Conference Center.

�鶹ӰԺ State students – many of them first-time voters, were proud to go to the polls on Tuesday. 

The Degree Completion Program allows former students who have attended �鶹ӰԺ State and people who have started a degree at other colleges or universities to finish their degrees at �鶹ӰԺ State.

Ohio voters backed red in both major national races in casting their ballots in the 2024 general election. For the third time, voters supported Republican Donald Trump for president while also sending newcomer Bernie Moreno to the U.S. Senate.

Emilia Sykes, who earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from �鶹ӰԺ, has won her race for reelection for Ohio’s 13th Congressional District.
