Ascendium Grant Will Streamline Transfers and Increase Retention, Graduation Rates

The pathway from a two-year college to Â鶹ӰԺ will soon become an easier road to travel for Ohio students, thanks to a grant awarded to Â鶹ӰԺ State to collaborate with three Ohio community colleges to streamline the transfer process.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Â鶹ӰԺ fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Â鶹ӰԺ was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their Â鶹ӰԺ State days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with Â鶹ӰԺ State pride.

Delta Propel

Â鶹ӰԺ’s nationally ranked Flight Technology program, in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, is one of only three nationwide that Delta Air Lines selected this year to become a Delta Propel Partner, a program that creates career opportunities for students studying to be future commercial pilots.

Â鶹ӰԺ’s long-standing relationship with the Tuscarawas County University Branch District to administer the Tuscarawas Campus of Â鶹ӰԺ State will continue through June 30, 2030, in a new 10-year agreement approved by the Â鶹ӰԺ State Board of Trustees.

Â鶹ӰԺ has made impressive moves in the rankings in the newly released 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges list. Â鶹ӰԺ State has climbed three spots, a 3% increase, on the Top Public Schools list. Â鶹ӰԺ State is the only Northeast Ohio institution on the Top Public Schools list. 

Â鶹ӰԺ State students have classes in the new FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center.

Â鶹ӰԺ’s new FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center provides a world-class training ground to help aviation students and future pilots soar to even greater achievements.

New Â鶹ӰԺ President Todd Diacon will serve as Â鶹ӰԺ State’s 2019 Homecoming Grand Marshal on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Last year, Â鶹ӰԺ celebrated 100 years of Homecoming. This year, the university starts the next century of Â鶹ӰԺ State Homecoming celebrations with a new president leading the institution.
