The University Library is located in the heart of the Â鶹ӰԺ campus.

U.S. News & World Report ranks Â鶹ӰԺ in the top 20 Best Library and Information Studies Programs in the country in its 2022 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Overall, Â鶹ӰԺ State is recognized in 12 new national rankings in the 2022 edition of Best Graduate Schools, including three specialty rankings.

Â鶹ӰԺ alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to save the date for one of the university’s long-standing traditions. Â鶹ӰԺ State will celebrate Homecoming 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Â鶹ӰԺ will hold in-person commencement ceremonies in May for the Spring Class of 2021 and will welcome back all 2020 alumni for an in-person graduation ceremony during Homecoming Weekend this fall.

In keeping with the commitment to honor and remember the events of May 4, 1970, Â鶹ӰԺ will hold a virtual May 4 51st Commemoration this year. The virtual commemoration will feature a video premiering at noon on Tuesday, May 4, that focuses on the nine wounded students: Alan Canfora, John Cleary, Thomas Grace, Dean Kahler, Joseph Lewis, Donald Mackenzie, James Russell, Robert Stamps and Douglas Wrentmore.

Â鶹ӰԺ State has partnered with the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins since 2018, allowing this nationally recognized hockey team to work closely with the university and providing professional and recreational aid to the Â鶹ӰԺ State community. The partnership includes multiple facets that focus on future Golden Flashes, current students and alumni alike.

Â鶹ӰԺ has been designated as a First-gen Forward Institution by the Center for First-generation Student Success for its commitment to improving the experiences and advancing outcomes of those who are first in their families to attend college.

Â鶹ӰԺ is once again at the top tier when it comes to exhibiting leading practices and supporting post-military students, receiving the 2021-2022 Military Friendly® School designation for its Â鶹ӰԺ Campus. This is the 12th year in a row that the Â鶹ӰԺ Campus has received the Military Friendly School honor.

In a month synonymous with cupid, hearts and chocolates, it seems fitting that Â鶹ӰԺ’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Plus (LGBTQ+) Center is set to celebrate 10 years of love beginning on Valentine’s Day and extending through the end of the year.
