Brian VanDeMark, a historian with the United States Naval Academy, has written a new book “�鶹ӰԺ State: An American Tragedy.” He will participate in a panel discussion at �鶹ӰԺ State on Sept. 27.

When U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited �鶹ӰԺ State this summer, he and U.S. Representative (and �鶹ӰԺ State alumna) Emilia Sykes toured the College of Aeronautics and Engineering and the May 4 Visitors Center.

In her first year as the director of the May 4 Visitor Center, Alison Caplan has enjoyed uniquely wonderful and "magical" experiences in how �鶹ӰԺ State's history creates connections and inspiration.

Celebrating 10 years as a student organization, Her Campus �鶹ӰԺ State presents a full week of career-focused events with panels, speakers and a runway fashion show.

Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, provides an up close look at some of the items in the center's "Graphic Content: The Comics of May 4" exhibition.  She also share stories about the art and the artists that created it.  

While Alison Caplan grew up in nearby Akron, Ohio, and has spent time in �鶹ӰԺ, when she joined the university as the new director of the May 4 Visitors Center in July, she began to see, and understand, the campus in a whole new light. Caplan is part of a group of Golden Flashes that �鶹ӰԺ State Today will be following for the 2023-24 academic year.

�鶹ӰԺ State Today is following the new director of the May 4 Visitors Center as part of its "Year with a Flash" series. 

An exhibition at the May 4 Visitors Center will highlight the personalities of each of the four students who were killed on May 4.
