Major: Art History

Minor: English

Graduation: December 2025

Hometown: Medina, Ohio

Why did you choose to study art history?

I took AP art history in my junior year of high school and fell in love with it. Something in my head clicked that said this was what I was meant for, this was my calling and I found my place.

In your time at 鶹ӰԺ State, what are some accomplishments you are proud of?

I am happy to say I am now the president of 鶹ӰԺ States Art History Club, which has grown exponentially, and spent a year working at the Cleveland Museum of Art my sophomore year of college. I am in the midst of finding more opportunities in the academic landscape to get the most out of my time at university!

What would you like to do after graduation?

I am 100% going to grad school! I may not be able to see the future per say, but my main goal is to learn the most I possibly can because education is the most powerful resource a person can have.

How has your school or program made a difference to you?

I have found my community at 鶹ӰԺ State. Coming from a town with around 4,000 people or so, I finally felt like I belonged somewhere, and it is amazing to have people who share interests with me!

What are things you love about 鶹ӰԺ State, your major or your school?

I love that the School of Fashion at 鶹ӰԺ sets you up for success after graduation. You will have a well-balanced resume since it is required to study abroad and complete an internship. There are also so many clubs to get involved in. One of my favorite things about 鶹ӰԺ State is the faculty. I have never met people who wanted me to succeed more than they do.

What has been your favorite class at 鶹ӰԺ State?

Art and Theory since 1940 with professor John-Michael Warner. I love the theory behind art and I think most art historians would agree that what makes art, "art" is the ability to make you think, and challenge your perception.

What are your favorite campus events?

My favorite campus events are art events and shows! I love being able to connect with people around me via experiencing art.

Do you have advice for others?

It’s a marathon not a race!
