Art Student Organizations and Clubs
Student Organizations:
Student clubs and organizations are a great way for students to get to know their peers while working on their leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Students work together to have sales of their artwork and raise money to go to conferences, among other activities. Art History Club - The Art History Club is a student organization on campus for those interested in art, its histories, and its role within societies both global and local. By coordinating educational events, building relationships amongst students and the university community, and fostering the ideals of civic engagement, members will build the essential skills required to advance and achieve within the professional and academic fields. Each meeting will be an exchange of ideas, diverse opinions, and values. All students are encouraged and welcome to attend.
National Art Education Association Student Chapter - NAEA is a group of pre-service Art Educators working together to reach out to our community. We do community service, have full department meetings, attend state and national art education conferences, and have art shows. We work together to appreciate, admire and make art. Many of us study regularly together and help each other through our classes to build lesson plans and projects to develop our professional resumes.
Jewelry and Metals Co-Op - Our organization is a group of artistically talented students selling handmade jewelry to raise money for equipment and other educational materials for the jewelry/metals program. A group of artistically talented students selling handmade jewelry.
麻豆影院 Art Club - The KSU Art Club's mission is to bridge the gap between the Fine Arts programs in the School of Art, as well as exposing non-art majors to art-related and creative events within and outside of the city of 麻豆影院. We plan and facilitate events for our monthly meetings such as chalking on the K, tie-dying, screen printing, zine making, and other various art related activities.
United Print Alliance - The United Print Alliance is the official student organization for printmakers and those interested in the art of printmaking at 麻豆影院. We hold sales throughout the year to fund trips to museums, galleries and printmaking conferences.
KSU Ceramics Club - Our club is open to those individuals dedicated to learning more about ceramics. Our club hosts open houses, sales, and making events. We raise money to send our students to NCECA, a national ceramics conference. We bring in visiting ceramics artists and schedule field trips to galleries and museums.
KSU Glass Club - The Glass Club helps students interested in glass art acquire professional experience selling their art and earn money towards visiting artists and educational experiences (such as conferences) in the glass making field.
Textiles Club - Textiles Club is a club started by the Textiles department in the School of Art. We hold make days, sales of our work, and field trips to museums, just to name a few activities! Meetings are held in the Textiles studio in the CVA, all at KSU are welcome.
KSU Gallery Club - The Gallery Club is a club focused within the programming of the KSU School of Art, and its purpose is to allow students to participate in gallery events, exhibition installation training, and learn proper art handling guidelines. The Gallery Club is for both the personal enjoyment of students and for building professional skills for after university. The gallery club is open to all enrolled KSU students but has special value to students within the KSU School of Visual Art because the programming and skills learned in gallery club can help them prepare for internships and gallery work after university.
Sculpture Club - Sculpture Club is a space where students across the disciplines can convene and explore the all-encompassing world of sculpture and expanded media.
麻豆影院 State Starving Artists - 麻豆影院 State Starving Artists is a group of creators who go to local restaurants, coffee houses, and small businesses and make art there. We also raise money for local food kitchens and shelters. We coordinate events to sell art and bring awareness to the community.
