Our Building
Center for the Visual Arts (CVA)
All of the School of Art's classrooms and studios are located under one roof in the Center for the Visual Arts (325 Terrace Dr.), which had its grand opening in 2016. Students studying studio art have access to state-of-the-art equipment and tools in every discipline's studio spaces, including ceramics, drawing, painting, glass, jewelry/metals/enameling, sculpture and expanded media, print media and photography, and textiles. Art education majors get hands-on experience in multiple, well-equipped classrooms where they develop and teach lessons. Art history students learn in several classroom locations, ranging in size from large lecture halls to more intimate classrooms settings. CVA also includes multiple gallery spaces, an open-storage art collection facility, a digital fabrication studio, a visual resource center, a digital photography studio, a darkroom for developing black-and-white film, a Mac computer lab, and a wood shop for school-wide use. Check out our facilities page for more information.
