Three Â鶹ӰԺ students gained valuable video production experience by working on a new television commercial produced by the university as part of the new spring campaign.
Â鶹ӰԺ School of Journalism and Mass Communication senior Christiana Ford was one of five students nationwide selected to participate in the National Association of Black Journalists’ (NABJ) all-expenses paid reporting trip to China in November 2018.
The Campus Kitchen at Â鶹ӰԺ is celebrating eight years of making an impact across campus and in the Â鶹ӰԺ community, annually turning 60,000 pounds of leftover food into 18,000 meals.
From November 2017 to the day of the competition in May, the Â鶹ӰԺ State Robotics team spent months preparing for the competition held at the Kennedy Space Center. The competition is designed to mimic the procedure of having a robot on Mars if sent there by NASA. Along with 44 other university teams, the team worked together to design and construct a robot that is fashioned to mine simulated Martian terrain along with the gravel below it.
Garrett Holubeck's diagnosis with stage 4 cancer led to him being placed on life support just to keep his heart and lungs working. Beating the odds, the Pittsburgh native completed his long journey of recovery when he crossed the stage Dec. 15 to earn a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology.
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan presented Â鶹ӰԺ State nursing major Austin Croft with the Congressional Award Silver Medal on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Mr. Croft, of Akron, Ohio, was recognized at a ceremony that took place at the College of Nursing where he was praised for his dedication to improving himself and his community.
