Siblings Abby and Nate Bergdorf followed their family legacy when they both enrolled at �鶹ӰԺ State, but they have taken the family ties a bit further.

Wilson Duda, a student in �鶹ӰԺ State's Career and Community Studies program, is excelling as an artist and illustrator.

�鶹ӰԺ alumna Reilly Berk serves as CEO of Berk Enterprises, an achievement she reached before the age of 30.

Growing up in Akron, Labovitz was surrounded by music. Her dad sang to the radio. Her mom played guitar. Her siblings excelled in music. She excelled in music. With a lengthy list of accomplishments across numerous states, she recently returned to “the heart of it all” as the new director of the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at �鶹ӰԺ.  

�鶹ӰԺ State student James Parsons, '23, dreams of pursuing a career where he can help make technology accessible to more people. In this video, he shares his experience in the course Children's Literature in Augmented Reality, where he practiced the skills above while creating something he was truly proud of.

Sketching, drawing, doodling. For some, these activities occupy us in class or in a meeting. But for Kizito Nkundamahoro, his artistic hobby evolved into a passion that drew an amazing opportunity at �鶹ӰԺ.

�鶹ӰԺ State Today is following the new director of the May 4 Visitors Center as part of its "Year with a Flash" series. 

�鶹ӰԺ State Today will be following a group of Golden Flashes for the 2023-24 academic year chronicling their efforts and successes during the fall and spring semesters. The group includes students, faculty and administrators who are at different places on their �鶹ӰԺ journeys.
