Mac McFarland and his son, David, formed a bond over aviation and service. Years later, that bond is honored by a scholarship endowed to honor David and to make immediate and lasting impacts on the lives of �鶹ӰԺ State students.

“We are grateful that the Stevens family’s tremendous support will enable us to provide additional scholarship opportunities in order to put ‘Students First’ in all we do,” said �鶹ӰԺ State President Beverly Warren.

“I am tremendously thankful for the private support throughout the year from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations,” President Warren said. “We are able to offer so much more to our growing student population because of these gifts. Additionally, our record fundraising year tells me that we are gaining our supporters’ vote of confidence in our mission to put students first in all we do.”

Education at �鶹ӰԺ goes beyond books, lectures and classroom walls. At �鶹ӰԺ State, we help instill in students a sense of purposeful living; we help our students appreciate the importance of leaving a legacy of excellence, both professionally and personally.

�鶹ӰԺ has received a $2.5 million gift for its Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising from the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation of Hudson, Ohio. This gift will endow a Fashion School chair and support the study-away program for students.

�鶹ӰԺ State received a grant for $1 million from the Gawlicki Family Foundation of Hartford, Connecticut, to fund the development of a state-of-the-art distance learning translation studies program. “This transformational gift … will enable us to better fulfill our global mission by bringing our outstanding translational studies program to the world through a high-quality, technology-rich distance learning platform,” said �鶹ӰԺ State President, Beverly Warren.

KeyBank Foundation has granted $1 million to �鶹ӰԺ to support programs to increase the recruitment, retention and graduation rates of underrepresented students.

Two academic scholarships help �鶹ӰԺ fashion merchandising major Amari Thomas shine brightly inside and outside the classroom.

Bert Crawford is a former foster child with a difficult past and a future that seemed bleak. But he broke the mold and rose above his challenges thanks to many opportunities, including his own determination, �鶹ӰԺ State’s incredible study-abroad options and the generosity of donors.

The 2017 �鶹ӰԺ State Alumni Day of Service, held April 29, was our biggest yet, with close to 400 volunteers serving at 27 locations around the world! This year, we have a fantastic highlight video to showcase our volunteers' collective, impactful efforts to shape the world around them.
