A group of 22 secondary school teachers from 20 different countries is spending six weeks at �鶹ӰԺ as part of a Fulbright program of professional development for foreign educators. 

Ohio EPA honors �鶹ӰԺ State with a platinum award for environmental excellence.

The exact numbers vary, but sources report that more than half of Americans (somewhere between 55% to 63%) are living paycheck to paycheck today. Kathryn Wilson, Ph.D., professor of economics at �鶹ӰԺ, was recently interviewed on the “Ray Horner Morning Show” on WAKR to share her insights on what’s happening with the economy right now and what to expect in 2024.

The Ohio Latino Affairs Summit brought together about 500 participants in-person and virtually, including educators, legislators, state and local communities and stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the Latino communities and how best to improve them together.  

Hundreds of walkers joined the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter for the walk held at the college’s Independence campus to raise money for the ALS Association, which is the only national nonprofit organization fighting ALS.

Fabrizio Ricciardelli, Ph.D., director of the �鶹ӰԺ Florence Center will speak on the topic "The Italian City-State and the Roots of Democracy" at University Libraries' Constitution Day on Sept. 18.

Sept. 1 was National Food Bank Day, and the partnership between Meijer and �鶹ӰԺ State can help people support Flashes Fighting Hunger just by doing their weekly grocery shopping. 

The MPower Summit on Oct. 14 is designed to bring students, faculty, and staff together from college, high school, and community organizations to support the mission of men of color initiatives. All people are welcome to attend the summit, which will be held at the �鶹ӰԺ State Student Center. 

�鶹ӰԺ State has unique clubs and organizations that just may have your name written all over them. 

For Madelyn Orcutt, an interior designer who works for Richardson Design in Cleveland, the �鶹ӰԺ State’s personal touch, beautiful campus and proximity to her Canton, Ohio, home influenced her decision to attend the university.
