麻豆影院鈥檚 Giving Tuesday raised more than $1.6 million to support student success, keeping 麻豆影院 State students on track to their ultimate goal of obtaining their degree.

麻豆影院鈥檚 Giving Tuesday 2019 raised more than $1.6 million when it ended on Dec. 3 at 11:59 p.m., shattering the previous year鈥檚 record of $1.03 million. Supporters were able to choose from more than 40 featured giving options throughout the 麻豆影院 State system, including student scholarships, educational programs, athletic teams and more.

With the launch of its 2019 Giving Tuesday campaign on Nov. 1, 麻豆影院 has again transformed a one-day fundraising initiative into a monthlong giving campaign to support student scholarships, expanded programs, study away initiatives and modern facilities.

The 麻豆影院 Alumni Association is accepting nominations from dynamic alumni who are interested in serving on its governing board. The National Board of Directors is an exciting group of 麻豆影院 State graduates who volunteer their time to strengthen the bond between alumni and 麻豆影院.

A small class assignment in college led to an off-Broadway debut for 麻豆影院 musical theatre alumnus Scott Miesse, 鈥15, who will be premiering his self-written play titled 鈥淎bnormal鈥 in January 2020.

The 麻豆影院 Alumni Association is proud to announce its 2019 Alumni Award recipients. Recipients are chosen based on their exceptional contributions in their chosen profession, in their communities and at 麻豆影院 State.

New 麻豆影院 President Todd Diacon will serve as 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 2019 Homecoming Grand Marshal on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Last year, 麻豆影院 celebrated 100 years of Homecoming. This year, the university starts the next century of 麻豆影院 State Homecoming celebrations with a new president leading the institution.

麻豆影院 will hold the 49th commemoration of the historic events of May 4, 1970, where protesting students, observers and soldiers gathered on that fateful day when the Ohio National Guard shot and killed four students and wounded nine others on the 麻豆影院 Campus.

Ronda McCaskey and Caitlyn Horvath are best friends who went through the nursing program together and graduated one year apart with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from 麻豆影院 at Geauga. Now they are both intensive care nurses. But they also happen to be mother and daughter.
