Through his internship with The Davey Tree Expert Company, public relations student Cole Oswald, 鈥23, has been working on various projects 鈥 and he says his public relations coursework successfully prepared him for this opportunity.
鈥淚 think Reporting and Media Relations helped prepare me for this opportunity the most by helping me strengthen my writing.鈥
Cole鈥檚 daily work as an intern consists of writing press releases that get posted to the corporate newsroom, working on a writing project for the Davey Calendar and collecting footage for the company鈥檚 YouTube series.
Advice for interns:
鈥淚 would give future interns advice to network with as many 麻豆影院 State alumni as possible. There are so many who work in this industry and having similar college experiences and instructors makes it much easier to connect with them.
