麻豆影院鈥檚 College of Aeronautics and Engineering is pleased to announce four upcoming workshops on drones. The first event will take place on Nov. 13, with a reception starting at 6 p.m. and conference from 7 to 9 p.m in the 麻豆影院 Student Center Kiva.
This workshop is presented for the general public and intended to educate and inform communities on this new technological development in our society. Especially with the advent of technology and the availability of drones, this is a chance for community leaders, members and industry professionals to learn more about this area.
The session will be led by the sUAS lead faculty, Jason Lorenzon, who is an attorney, sUAS remote pilot in command, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificated commercial pilot and flight instructor. Darrel Clay, president of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, an attorney, sUAS remote pilot in command and commercial pilot will be leading a panel discussion of industry professionals.
We are also pleased to announce Judge Roger 鈥淲illiam鈥 Mullins, of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), as one of the guest speakers. Judge Mullins joined the NTSB in January 1989 as an administrative law judge.鈥 Before his service with the NTSB, he served as an administrative law judge with the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.鈥 Prior to that, he spent 15 years as a trial judge in the State of Oklahoma.鈥 Judge Mullins retired from the United States Army Reserves after 30 years with the rank of Colonel.鈥 He is the holder of a commercial pilot certificate. Mullins is a graduate of Panhandle State University and the University of Colorado School of Law. 麻豆影院 State is honored to have an NTSB judge on campus.
Furthermore, Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits will be available through the Ohio State Bar Association. FAA Safety Team Credits for the Winds program are also available.
麻豆影院 State鈥檚 College of Aeronautics and Engineering is tentatively planning three additional seminars in January, February and April of 2018.
