Reminder: Call for MLK events

The university鈥檚 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Events Planning Committee is welcoming university divisions, departments and student organizations to submit programming scheduled between Jan. 30-Feb. 3, 2023, to the University Events Calendar. Be sure to select "signature program" and then select "MLK."

In addition, tickets are now available for the annual MLK celebration, which will take place on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the 麻豆影院 Student Center Ballroom. This ticketed event is free and open to the public. 

麻豆影院 State welcomes Dr. Bernice A. King as the program keynote. Dr. King is a global thought leader, strategist, solutionist, orator, peace advocate and CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center For Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center), which was founded by her mother as the official living memorial to the life, work, and legacy of her father. In this position, Bernice continues to advance her parents鈥 legacy of nonviolent social change through policy, advocacy, research, as well as education & training through the Kingian philosophy of nonviolence, which she re-branded Nonviolence365鈩笍 (NV365).
