Coming to 鶹ӰԺ as a transfer student from a local community college in her hometown of Toledo, Laurel Johnson, ’17, wanted to get involved and become an integrated member of the 鶹ӰԺ community.
Drawn to 鶹ӰԺ State by the communication studies program, Ms. Johnson wanted to further her education and earn a bachelor’s degree after receiving her associate degree. She transferred to 鶹ӰԺ State in 2015 for her junior year.
鶹ӰԺ State of Accessibility Explores Perspectives on the Intersection of Mental Health and Disability
Now in its second year, the annual 鶹ӰԺ State of Accessibility event once again promises to engage attendees with unique perspectives to result in a better understanding of experiences of individuals with disabilities in a more inclusive 鶹ӰԺ environment.
The 鶹ӰԺ Alumni Association has chosen 10 finalists from a pool of more than 200 nominees for the 52nd annual 鶹ӰԺ State Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Award.
The Performing Arts Center at 鶹ӰԺ at Tuscarawas adds holiday favorites to its packed 2018 lineup of performances. Upcoming shows include Elf the Musical on Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. as well as the Tuscarawas Dance Arts Center’s presentation of The Nutcracker, running Dec. 6-9.
鶹ӰԺ generates a large portion of the power used on the 鶹ӰԺ Campus and at times can supply all the power requirements for the campus. In order to test the operation and integrity of the power generation, control and distribution systems, a test of the turbines will be performed on Monday, Nov. 12, when the university will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
鶹ӰԺ views student feedback on courses and instructors as pivotal for designing courses and curriculum. In an effort to ensure the quality of academic programs, teaching and the learning experience of students, course instructors are asked to encourage their students to take the Flash Survey, the end-of-course student survey at 鶹ӰԺ State for online and hybrid courses.

The 鶹ӰԺ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 鶹ӰԺ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 鶹ӰԺ State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
