Emad Khazraee, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, co-authored a paper titled "A Networked Reaction to the 2015 Ankara Attack in the Turkish Twittersphere" with colleagues from the Ohio State University School of Communication. The paper was presented by Aysenur Dal, an OSU doctoral student, at the Political Networks Conference (POLNET) on June 24, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri.

The first phase of the Summit Street: Building a Better Way Improvement Project is almost complete. Work began nearly a year ago on the stretch of Summit Street from Fraternity Circle to just past Loop Road, and that section of the road is expected to be finished by mid-November. 
The 麻豆影院 State of Wellness Steering Committee has awarded 14 minigrants totaling more than $11,000 to departments and student organizations with creative proposals to enhance the culture of health and wellness at 麻豆影院. The program supports 麻豆影院 State President Beverly Warren鈥檚 and 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 initiative to create an environment that enhances the health and wellness of all 麻豆影院 State students, faculty and staff.
The Postal Regulatory Commission approved the U.S. Postal Service鈥檚 request for a change in postage rates effective Jan. 22, 2017. Some of the highlights include:
- New first-class stamp rate will increase to 49 cents
- Free 鈥渟econd ounce鈥 will now be good up to 3.5 ounces for presort letters
- Basic flats will increase from 94 to 98 cents
- Standard Mail will now be called Marketing Mail (both commercial and nonprofit)

This September, the 麻豆影院 Women鈥檚 Center held a donation drive, called Squirrel Away Food for the Pantry, benefiting the Pantry at the Women鈥檚 Center.
麻豆影院鈥檚 Division of Information Services has introduced , a video platform set to replace KSUtube by the end of the year. Kaltura was chosen because of its seamless integration with Blackboard Learn and in-depth features that benefit both faculty and students.
Information Services鈥 staff is facilitating the transition from KSUtube to Kaltura by migrating faculty videos from one platform to the other. More than 30,000 videos have been migrated to Kaltura so far, with many faculty and staff providing positive feedback.

The 麻豆影院 Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university鈥檚 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 麻豆影院 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 麻豆影院 State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
