Impact Solutions

IMPACT Solutions is the university鈥檚 employee assistance program (EAP) used to assist employees through challenges. The IMPACT program can assist with problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, child and eldercare needs, marital concerns or substance abuse. It can also assist with financial, legal or identity theft issues. All resources are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Services are confidential and provided by credentialed professionals. All employees, household members, dependents in and away from home, and parents/parents-in-law are eligible to use any of the IMPACT services. You can reach IMPACT directly at 1-800-227-6007.

Employee Resource Groups

麻豆影院 has eight Employee Resource Groups (ERG). The ERGs promote a culture of diversity and inclusion amongst 麻豆影院 employees through continued learning. Members of all ERGs comprise of staff and faculty that work toward advancing the inclusion of employees with a common background, set of interests and goals. Their vision, mission, goals, policies and activities are fully aligned with 麻豆影院鈥檚.

Counseling and Human Development Center

The Counseling and Human Development Center located at 325 White Hall on the 麻豆影院 Campus, offers individual and group counseling services for a wide variety of concerns for individuals from the university and community and it serves as a training clinic for graduate students in the counselor education and supervision program. All services are provided free to 麻豆影院 State students, staff and faculty and at very little cost to the community. Feel free to contact the center for more information.

The Psychological Clinic

The Psychological Clinic was established in 1968 and is housed in the Department of Psychological Sciences on the 麻豆影院 Campus. Services are provided by master鈥檚 and doctoral students under the close supervision of clinical faculty members who are licensed psychologists.

Care Team

麻豆影院鈥檚 Care Team is a cross-divisional crisis management committee that collaboratively assesses and coordinates a response to student behavior identified as reasonably posing a potential threat to self, others or the university community.

Referrals to the Care Team may be made by contacting the dean of students at 330-672-8003 for a unified institutional response.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING                                    

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is offered as part of the More Aware Initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

MHFA is help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis until professional treatment is obtained or the crisis resolves.

STEP UP SPEAK OUT

Step Up and Speak Out is a collaborative initiative involving Counseling and Psychological Services, the DeWeese Health Center, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Office of the Dean of Students and Police Services intended to better educate university community members on how to assist distressed or disruptive individuals. All campuses have a unique resource card and response guide specific to each location. The response guide will assist you with recognizing behavioral signs and symptoms ranging from minimal risk to urgent situations requiring immediate assistance.

All 麻豆影院 State students have access to a crisis text line and a 24-hour support and crisis call line to provide evening and weekend triage service and referrals.

Center for Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services (SRVSS)

If you have experienced a recent or past sexual assault, relationship abuse, sexual harassment or stalking, you may be feeling overwhelmed and confused about what to do and where to go for help. SRVSS is available to listen without judgment and to offer information, options, resources and emotional support. We also provide assistance to individuals who may be assisting a friend/loved through a difficult time. You do not need to be in crisis to call SRVSS. We can assist you if you are wondering about something in your relationship, unsure how to support a friend or just want to talk. Never feel that an issue is too big or too small for SRVSS to handle. We are here to listen and provide you support, in whatever way we can.
