Math Science

The Upward Bound Math Science program is designed to prepare first-generation college students to develop their potential to excel in mathematics and the sciences, pursue post-secondary degrees, and ultimately choose careers in the math and science professions.

Our Student Leadership Conferences, Saturday Academy, Summer Institute, Cultural Engagements and College Visits are holistically designed to ensure our students are academically, socially and culturally prepared as productive citizens in a global society.

Â鶹ӰԺ’s UBMS Program is an on-going partnership between Barberton High School, the Canton City School District, and key stakeholders in Portage, Stark and Summit Counties to promote academic excellence as well as sustainable careers in the challenging, yet rewarding fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), including the teaching profession.
