In a historic achievement for the 麻豆影院 State Tuscarawas women鈥檚 volleyball program, the team has claimed its first-ever USCAA Division II National Championship. This momentous victory marks the culmination of an incredible season, where the Golden Eagles soared to new heights, showcasing skill, determination, and teamwork to etch their names into the history books.
A Historic First for 麻豆影院 State Tuscarawas
The Golden Eagles鈥 national title win is not only a triumph for the team but also a groundbreaking moment for the entire school. For the first time in history, 麻豆影院 State Tuscarawas can proudly call itself a USCAA Division II National Champion, a milestone that has captured the attention of the entire athletic community.
鈥淗istory has been made at 麻豆影院 State Tuscarawas!鈥 said Brad Bielski, 麻豆影院 State Tuscarawas Dean and Chief Administrative Officer. 鈥淲e鈥檝e been competing in an organized way with the USCAA for about nine years now, and while we鈥檝e had some excellent teams and excellent individuals compete, this was our first national championship. I couldn鈥檛 be prouder of the coaches, Cortney Goodwin and Steve Colpus, and most importantly, the women who put in all the work, the effort 鈥 and particularly those students who served as leaders on the court. They鈥檝e really put a spotlight on the campus, the community and beyond.鈥
Team members include Cayla Shrimplin, Elizabeth Keller. Allie Keller, Mackenzie Neininger, Kylie Culbertson, Adazianna Manns, Rylee Sensabaugh, Ally Carpenter, Madison Mook, Jaileigh Price, Kadence Noll, Sam Uhlman, and Ava McFarland.
Major Achievements, Recognitions and Honors
The 2024 season was full of accolades and recognition for the Golden Eagles, both as a team and individually. The success of the squad was not limited to their championship win, as several players and coaches earned prestigious honors.

Head Coach Cortney Goodwin and Assistant Coach Steve Colpus were named the Coaching Staff of the Year. - USCAA Divison ll All-Americans

Just the Beginning
Coach Goodwin is already looking forward to the next season and the future of the Golden Eagles women鈥檚 volleyball team.
鈥淚 think we鈥檙e excited for the program 鈥 the growth of the program 鈥 bringing the championship title back to this small community,鈥 said Goodwin. 鈥淭his was a goal that we had at the start of the season, and we were able to accomplish it. I think that鈥檚 really good for the program as we move forward.鈥
As the team celebrates its historic win, the program stands poised for even greater success in the future. The blend of talented underclassmen and experienced players, alongside the leadership of the coaching staff, positions the team for sustained excellence for years to come. For now, though, they can enjoy their remarkable achievement as USCAA Division II National Champions, a title that will forever define the 2024 season.

In celebration of their achievements, a reception for the Golden Eagles women鈥檚 volleyball team was held in Founders Hall on Tues., Nov. 19, where the team and coaches were honored for their remarkably successful 2024 season.
