IN A FLASH: Having a Ball in the CAED

On Saturday, April 15, more than 70 麻豆影院 State students from the College of Architecture and Environmental Design and their guests attended a black-tie Beaux Arts Ball at the The John Elliot Center for Architecture and Environmental Design.

麻豆影院 State's supplied the music for dancing and prizes were awarded for best costumes. The event was presented by the 麻豆影院 State chapter of the American Institute for Architecture Students. ().

Costumes were not required, but undergraduates and graduate students from the college were invited to dress as their favorite architects, artists, art periods or architectural eras. Included in this photo, from left to right are fourth year architecture major Tye Allison, senior interior design major Anna Anstine, architecture graduate student Rick Mansfield, sophomore construction management major Tara Rybar and Jeff Kurkey, Rybar's spouse. Their costumes represent Afrocentric architecture/culture, the Victorian Era, a Greek Ionic column, a Bob Ross painting and public television personality and painter, Bob Ross.
