Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº is the sole university in the U.S. to receive the prestigious 2022 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The honor recognizes Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº State for overall excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university and its campuses.

Bill Ayres Selected as New Dean and Chief Administrative Officer of Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº at Trumbull
Following a national search, R. William (Bill) Ayres IV, Ph.D., of Toledo, Ohio, has been selected as the new dean and chief administrative officer of Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº at Trumbull. Ayres is currently a professor of political science at the University of Toledo, where he previously served as senior vice provost for academic affairs from 2018 to 2020 and vice provost for academic affairs from 2017 to 2018.

Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº State Receives $1.2 Million Federal Grant to Assist Adults in College Enrollment
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº a nearly $1.2 million, five-year TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers program grant. The program is designed to provide support services to qualified adults, including veterans, who want to enter or continue a program of postsecondary education.

Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., announced the selection of Manfred van Dulmen, Ph.D., to serve as the university’s associate provost for academic affairs and dean of the Division of Graduate Studies, effective April 16.

Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº has named Margaret (Peggy) Shadduck, Ph.D., of Richardson, Texas, as its new vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. Shadduck was selected following a national search.

Both answered live questions and discussed such areas as summer class schedules, support for struggling students and staying healthy.
