As the world’s attention turns to the Olympic Games for the second time in 12 months, Â鶹ӰԺ State Professor Tang Tang’s research offers insight on how audience patterns of viewing major sporting events have changed over the last 12 years. Tang, Ph.D., joined Â鶹ӰԺ in 2018 as the College of Communication and Information sought to hire in the area of new media technology.

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced Wednesday a historic esports venture with a newly created independent esports conference – Esports Collegiate Conference – to facilitate and foster high-quality gaming competition among collegiate esports teams. Â鶹ӰԺ is among the 12 founding members of the new esports conference.

What could be better to reduce end-of-semester stress than petting a dog? How about petting multiple dogs and digitally dunking with LeBron through esports? This year’s Stress-Free Zone, which is from 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 10, will be hosted on the first floor of University Library and will feature esports, therapy dogs, makerspace activities and more.

Cavs Legion Gaming Club (GC), the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has teamed up with Â鶹ӰԺ Esports in a unique new partnership designed to help grow and strengthen the local gaming community in Northeast Ohio, as well as promote the university’s newly launched collegiate esports program.
