Molly Merryman, Ph.D., associate professor in �鶹ӰԺ’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, received a double dose of prestige recently when she was invited to speak at both the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford in England in the same week.

Alex Moir is one of many students who participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program in 2023. Alongside mentor Lauren Vachon, the two were determined to investigate Ohio’s LGBTQ history and were led to the story of Georgia Hopley through a tip from an archivist at Ohio History Connection (a non-profit historical society) of a possible undocumented queer romance.

Satterfield Hall was filled with the sights, sounds and smells of Lunar New Year as �鶹ӰԺ students gathered Feb. 14 to celebrate and learn to make Asian dumplings.

On January 20, �鶹ӰԺ welcomed over 120 college students from across the region to its “Golden Flash Legal Clash,” a two-day collegiate mock trial invitational held in the �鶹ӰԺ Student Center. Proceeds from the event helped to raise funds for future events that �鶹ӰԺ State’s Mock Trial teams plan to attend. The 10 student teams, including some from out-of-state, competed in four rounds. Teams from Case Western Reserve University finished first and second with third place going to a team from William & Mary. The opening and closing ceremonies were held in the �鶹ӰԺ State Governance Chambers.
