Celebrating KSU鈥檚 First Female President
Carol A. Cartwright, Ph.D., became 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 first female president in 1991 and was the first female president of any Ohio public college or university then. She was also a driving force in the establishment of 麻豆影院 Women鈥檚 Center.
Black United Student Leader Thrives
Julian Grimes, a 麻豆影院 State junior, is president of Black United Students (BUS) and is working to keep the organization thriving. BUS is one of 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 oldest student organizations and is credited with starting the formal observance of Black History Month in 1970.
