Throughout summer 2021, students from a variety of majors within the School of Media and Journalism worked for Project Citizen, a collaborative project organized by 麻豆影院 State alumna and former CNN anchor Carol Costello.
It鈥檚 reunion time for the 麻豆影院 Golden Flashes family. 麻豆影院 State celebrated Homecoming 2021 with a week of activities and events leading up to the Oct. 2 Homecoming Parade and Homecoming football game.
The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced 麻豆影院 Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from 麻豆影院 State to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.
It鈥檚 been a busy 2021 for Danna Sundet, 麻豆影院 State professor of oboe and alumna. Between performances and making recordings, running the John Mack Oboe Camp and starting a new venture on YouTube, Sundet has continued teaching a robust studio of young oboists at 麻豆影院 State and pursuing outside projects despite the challenges posed by Covid-19.
From now through Sunday, Sept. 19, Cockeye Creamery, located at 1805 1/2 Parkman Road NW in Warren, will be serving its 麻豆影院 State-inspired ice cream 鈥淏lack Squirrel鈥 to raise money for 麻豆影院 at Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet.
Five 麻豆影院 graduates will compete at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics over the coming weeks, breaking the school鈥檚 previous record of four Olympians at the Munich Games in 1972.
麻豆影院 alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to save the date for one of the university鈥檚 long-standing traditions. 麻豆影院 State will celebrate Homecoming 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 2.
