Undergraduate Research Symposium

The Undergraduate Symposium for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors provides an opportunity for undergraduate students and recent graduates to showcase their hands-on involvement in research and creative endeavors.  We encourage students to share either their completed or ongoing work.  Students from all majors on all of Â鶹ӰԺ State’s campuses are encouraged to submit their work – from creative dance pieces to scientific research.  Students can present their work through posters, oral presentations, or any creative medium.

The Undergraduate Symposium for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors will be an in-person event with exceptions for students taking all on-line classes or most classes at one or more of our regional campuses.  If you would like to present remotely and meet one of the noted criteria, contact agosky@kent.edu.  The symposium is scheduled for April 30th.

Abstracts will be accepted beginning on December 13, 2024. The deadline to submit abstracts will be March 2, 2025 at 11:59PM.

Headshot of Douglas Delahanty

"My experience with undergraduate research solidified a desire to pursue research as a career, and undergraduate research provides KSU students with a life-changing experience that helps them to find their passion. Rather than simply digesting knowledge from textbooks/lectures, undergraduate research gives students the ability to create knowledge and solve problems of immense public health relevance."
