Division of Human Resources Announces Annual Shred-Mania Event

As part of the RecycleMania competition, �鶹ӰԺ’s Division of Human Resources will partner with the Office of Sustainability to host Shred-Mania on Wednesday, March 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the �鶹ӰԺ State Ice Arena parking lot.

Shred-Mania is open to all students, faculty, staff and the �鶹ӰԺ community. Shred-Mania allows participants to recycle unwanted paper documents using a secured, onsite document destruction service. Materials permitted at Shred-Mania include documents, drawings, photos, blueprints, coupons, tickets, checks, magazines, spiral notebooks, hanging folders, paper bags and brochures. It is not necessary to remove paper/binding clips or staples from your documents in order to have them shredded. All shredding will take place on site. There is a limit of five boxes per person for �鶹ӰԺ community members.

Religious and Spiritual Accommodations Allow Students Time to Celebrate Other Religious Holidays

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, �鶹ӰԺ created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.

Call for Native American Heritage Month events

At �鶹ӰԺ State, we want to honor the celebration of our Native American and Indigenous culture by developing a calendar encompassing all the university events that are relevant to Native American Heritage Month. The Native American Heritage Month Planning Committee is welcoming university divisions, departments and student organizations to begin submitting their programming, activities and events to the University Events Calendar to be featured on the Native American Heritage Month Website.
