Fred Endres
Biography
Professor Emeritus Fred Endres retired from the School of Journalism & Mass Communication (now the School of Media and Journalism) in 2014, after 40 years of teaching news and multimedia journalism. His research appeared in such publications as Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Newspaper Research Journal, Journalism & Mass Communication Educator, and Journalism History.
He is now an independent film producer (Tabby Cat Productions LLC) for regional PBS channels. Recent historical documentaries he wrote include: The ‘Sojer Boys’ of Portage County; Seances & Slot Machines: The Story of Brady Lake Park; 46 Days to Justice: The Confession(s) of Ned Kellogg; and Under Fire, Under Siege: Strikebreakers in Â鶹ӰԺ, Ohio.
He is working on another PBS film about the Bailey Bros. Circus.
