JMC welcomes two new professors for Fall 2015.
Nancy Sinning comes to ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State with 27 years of experience in the field of digital media. Starting her career as a director and videographer, Sinning has experience working as a senior writer, associate and freelance producer, announcer, researcher and, most recently, an academic instructor.
Sinning holds a Master of Arts Degree from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ. She has been honored with by Ohio Educational Telecommunication for her live remote coverage of βParade the Circleβ for Outstanding Contributions in the Arts and Cultural Affairs category for Specials. Sinning has also been recognized by the Press Club of Cleveland, the Associated Press, the Ohio Society of Journalists and the Gabriel awards for her arts and cultural features.
Dr. Gretchen Dworznik comes to ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State with proficiency in online course development and curriculum development, as well as professional experience as a research and teaching assistant, academic instructor and a news reporter and anchor.
She has five publications, including pieces in the Journal of Media Education, Journalism Educator and the International Journal of Business. She is also an established member of the Broadcast Educators Association.
Dworznik received her Ph.D. in Communication Studies at ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State and rejoins the university after an eight-year career at Ashland University, where she served as an academic instructor, internship coordinator and the Chair of the Department of Journalism and Digital Media.
