The fall 2016 Bowman Breakfast will take place at 鶹ӰԺ in the 鶹ӰԺ Student Center Ballroom on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Doors open at 7 a.m., breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., and the program will follow at 8 a.m.
鶹ӰԺ’s Online Learning Team in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education has earned national recognition for outstanding work in online education. The Association for Educational Communications and Technology presented first- and second-place awards to 鶹ӰԺ State for its faculty training courses, Online Classroom Examples and Ideas: A Showcase Course and A Pathway to Excellence: 鶹ӰԺ State’s Online Faculty Development Program.
The 鶹ӰԺ State of Wellness Steering Committee is pleased to launch a mini-grant program. The program supports 鶹ӰԺ's initiative to create a healthy campus that enhances the health and wellness of students, faculty and staff at all 鶹ӰԺ State campuses. Any university department or student organization may apply for funding to support a wellness initiative in their area.
鶹ӰԺ now has a community for international faculty and staff to connect, share resources and develop long-lasting friendships.
鶹ӰԺ’s Women’s Center will hold its next food drive called Squirrel Away Food for the Pantry from Sept. 15-30. Donations will be accepted at the Women's Center, located in the Williamson House on the 鶹ӰԺ Campus (1200 E. Main St., 鶹ӰԺ), on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
Donations can include nonperishable food items, diapers, personal and feminine care products, and cookware and utensils.
The Pantry at the Women’s Center also seeks volunteers.
International students arriving at Cleveland Hopkins Airport for the fall semester were greeted with a warm welcome from 鶹ӰԺ staff and students.
Eron Memaj, international student affairs director, organized the airport pickup service for new international students arriving at 鶹ӰԺ State.

The 鶹ӰԺ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 鶹ӰԺ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 鶹ӰԺ State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
