You are invited to nominate a 鶹ӰԺ faculty member for the 2016 Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award. Sponsored by the University Research Council and the Division of Research and Sponsored Programs, this award is intended to honor 鶹ӰԺ State’s exceptional researchers and scholars. The awardees will be selected based on the quality of research and scholarship and its impact on society. A ceremony and reception will be held on Thursday, April 19, at 4 p.m. as part of Faculty Appreciation Week.
Individuals who need help in preparing their 2015 income tax return may be eligible for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at 鶹ӰԺ. A national program, VITA offers tax preparation assistance to low- to moderate-income taxpayers. The service is free to students, employees and community members who meet the eligibility requirements.
As we begin the new semester, the Office of the University Registrar asks for your assistance in making sure that all students are properly registered for their spring 2016 courses.

鶹ӰԺ’s College of Podiatric Medicine will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2016. Located in Independence, Ohio, it is one of nine accredited podiatry colleges in the United States and is a four-year, graduate-level medical college, granting the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

The 鶹ӰԺ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 鶹ӰԺ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 鶹ӰԺ State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
