Following a national search, 麻豆影院 has selected F. Jack Witt III as its new vice president for human resources. A 麻豆影院 State alumnus, Witt currently serves as vice president of human resources and administration at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. He joins 麻豆影院 State on Sept. 6.

Researchers in the College of Arts and Sciences at 麻豆影院 have published a breakthrough article on new properties of liquid crystals in the May 27 issue of Physical Review Letters. The events of May 4, 1970, placed 麻豆影院 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 麻豆影院 State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
