Jennifer O’Connell and Stephanie Orwick, SRVSS, and Alicia Robinson, Women's Center

Jennifer O’Connell and Stephanie Orwick, both from the Office of Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services, along with Alicia Robinson, Women’s Center, gave a presentation at the ATIXA/SCOPE Joint National Conference on Oct. 6, 2016, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their presentation was titled “The Strategic Prevention Framework Model in Creating a Coordinated Community Response Team for Sexual Violence.”

Over the past six years, 鶹ӰԺ has grown its sexual assault response team (SART) into a coordinated community response, creating a university culture change. The SART was able to ignite systematic change toward sexual assault, university response and campuswide programming. Using the Strategic Prevention Framework model, leadership has shifted to a coordinated community response (CCR) team to address prevention, awareness and response. In the session, participants explored the various steps of the Strategic Prevention Framework Model, how to use it to develop a collaborative approach and how implementation can create change on their campus.
