Christa Porter, Ph.D., was awarded the Review of Research Award by the American Education Research Association (AERA) for her research article, “Understanding Influences of Development on Black Women’s Success in U.S. Colleges: A Synthesis of Literature."

George R. Newkome, Ph.D., and his wife, Mary Jane Saunders, Ph.D., pledged $1 million to fund this first-ever professorship in materials science in Â鶹ӰԺ’s College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Newkome is a two-time Â鶹ӰԺ State alumnus.

Forever Brighter is the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the history of Â鶹ӰԺ with a goal of raising $350 million. There are three primary campaign priorities - Prioritizing Student Success, Expanding University Initiatives and Building the Future.
