AIA Henry Adams Medal
For more than a century, the AIA has provided a medal of excellence to the top graduating students in National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB) accredited degrees, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Architecture, or Doctor or Architecture. The award is named in honor of Henry Adams (1838-1918), a historian, author, and scholar who donated his book, Mont-Saint-Michel and Chartres, and eventually the royalties from his book, to the AIA.

ARCC Research Award Medal | King Student Medal for Excellence Architectural + Environmental Design Research
Named in honor of the late Jonathan King, co-founder and first president of the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC), this award will be given to one student per ARCC member school. Selection of school recipients is at the discretion of the individual institutions, but will be based upon criteria that acknowledge innovation, integrity, and scholarship in architectural and/or environmental design research. CAED has been awarding this medal annually to graduate and undergraduate students based on a rigorous review by a committee from the faculty and outside reviewers since 2005.
