Taylor Mends enjoys makeup artistry, exploring nature, and finding inspiration in art and fashion. As a first-generation college graduate, she's passionate about helping students who are navigating similar journeys. When she's working, Taylor enjoys spending time with her cat, Libra, who always keeps life interesting. 

Position

As the Academic Program Coordinator for Upward Bound Math Science, She's proud to support students as they navigate their academic journeys and explore STEM fields. Her role focuses on building meaningful programming and providing resources to help students reach their goals. 

Experience 

Throughout her higher education journey and career, she has maintained a strong connection to TRIO programs. She first joined the Student Support Services (SSS) program as a student in 2018 and began working with them in 2019 during her undergraduate studies at Â鶹ӰԺ. In 2022, Taylor served as an Academic Coach for the Upward Bound summer program. Since then, she has remained actively involved, continuing to work with SSS and serving as a secretary for the Educational Talent Search program at the University of Akron.
