WFMJ-TV (Youngstown)

Steven Toepfer, Ph.D., associate professor of human development and family science at �鶹ӰԺ State Stark, discusses the benefits of showing gratitude on WFMJ-TV, along with the positive impact it can provide for both the person giving and the person on the receiving end. Toepfer’s research specializes in the effects of writing letters of gratitude.

WAKR-AM’s “Ray Horner Morning Show” (Akron)

Assistant Professor of Aeronautics Jason Lorenzon, J.D., appeared as a guest on the “Ray Horner Morning Show” to provide expert insight into the recent drone sightings that have shown up over multiple cities. In addition to sharing his studies, Lorenzon wrote the book, “Drone Law: The Past, The Present, and The Future,” concerning drone laws.

Hedi Nasheri, Ph.D., professor of criminology and coordinator for the cybercriminology degree at �鶹ӰԺ State, was one of three experts featured in WWD discussing the new documentary, "The Fall of Diddy," using her expertise to elaborate on the human interest of celebrity criminal cases like that of Sean "Diddy" Combs. The documentary dives deep into Combs’ case with a wide variety of interviews from numerous experts.

WEWS-TV (Cleveland)

With the legalization of recreational marijuana in Ohio in 2023, sales are growing rapidly. In 2024, �鶹ӰԺ State decided to partner with a cannabis educator after taking notice of the increased interest in the field from students. Additionally, �鶹ӰԺ State just marked the first year of offering its .

Star Beacon (Ashtabula) and Yahoo!

�鶹ӰԺ at Ashtabula recently hosted its 79th commencement ceremony on Jan. 10, with more than 100 students earning their degrees. Bradley Keefer, Ph.D., associate professor of history, and Dean of �鶹ӰԺ State Ashtabula, R. William Ayres, IV, Ph.D., both spoke at the ceremony, congratulating and imparting wisdom to the fall 2024 graduates.
