�鶹ӰԺ, OH – The �鶹ӰԺ Museum (KSU Museum) announces a new mini exhibition to display the winners of a student design competition hosted by the �鶹ӰԺ State School of Fashion.

Over 90 junior students enrolled in Fashion Design Studio were invited to participate in a design contest generously funded by Mr. Ken Robinson, a longtime supporter of both the School of Fashion and the KSU Museum. Students used a music video, “The Stream” by singer/songwriter Maddie Indre of Akron, OH, as inspiration for their competition designs. From the 13 shortlisted students, two were selected as winners.

"I was inspired by the yoga and movement in “The Stream” music video,” explains Annabel VanKeuren. “I wanted to create a look that would reflect the fluid movements of yoga through draping and ruching details.” VanKeuren’s three-piece yoga look, consisting of a sports bra, top and yoga pants, is made from blue and white, bleach-dyed span knit fabric.

Camryn Hall’s look was inspired by the idea that one must rely on themselves when working out and leading a healthy lifestyle. “This collection is based on self-accountability and being strong even when things may not be going your way,” explained Hall. Hall’s work out collection consists of a leotard, shorts and crop-top sweatshirt.

These winning looks will be on display in the KSU Museum’s Main Street Lobby beginning Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 and throughout the spring 2022 semester.

�鶹ӰԺ the KSU Musum

The �鶹ӰԺ Museum is located at 515 Hilltop Drive, at the corner of E. Main St. and S. Lincoln St. in �鶹ӰԺ, Ohio. It features over 29,000 pieces in its collection, amassed from many generous donors. The Museum is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11 A.M. – 5 P.M. and Sunday from Noon – 4 P.M. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Museum or in advance through the museum’s . At this time, the KSU Museum requires face coverings be worn by both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals while indoors.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for children aged 5 to 17. The museum is free for children under 5 and for those with a �鶹ӰԺ State ID. Sunday admission is free for all ages.
