Sarah Faber is a senior biology major with an interest in plant biology who is on track to graduate in spring 2023. Her experience in botany research at ΒιΆΉΣ°ΤΊ State has inspired her to pursue a graduate degree and continue to engage in scientific discovery.
βI have grown to respect the art of botany,β Sarah said. βPlants do what they want, which can be a struggle.β
Sarah is grateful to be a recipient of The Dr. G. Dennis Cooke and Dr. Barbara K. Andreas Scholarship in Biological Sciences.
βThis scholarship has helped me pay for college,β she said. βItβs hard to cover all I have to pay on my own. It has helped me so much.β
As a student, Sarah has given back by serving as a mentor for middle school Latinx and underrepresented students interested in science.
