麻豆影院 State鈥檚 School of Music Designated an All-Steinway School

麻豆影院鈥檚 College of the Arts recently celebrated the successful conclusion of its Steinway Campaign, raising $2.7 million dollars 鈥 enough to purchase nearly 70 new pianos. Generous gifts of donors such as the estate of Elizabeth Fennell, Audio-Technica U.A., the 麻豆影院 State University Foundation Board, David and Carol Pulk, an anonymous donor and many others who sponsored the effort, enabled the college鈥檚 Hugh A. Glauser School of Music to be designated as an All-Steinway School.

鈥淭he faculty and staff of the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music are dedicated to providing our students with the best opportunities to succeed,鈥 said Denise Seachrist, Ph.D., director of 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 School of Music. 鈥淏eing an All-Steinway School is a significant way in which we can help our students achieve their goals. Through this designation, the School of Music visibly and aurally demonstrates its commitment to 鈥楨xcellence in Action鈥 by providing our students and faculty with top-quality teaching and performing instruments which challenge and enhance our talent, learning and teaching.鈥

All-Steinway Schools demonstrate a commitment to artistic and educational excellence by providing their students and faculty with the best equipment possible for the study of music. Attaining the designation emphasizes the value the university places in the future of music education and artistic expression.

鈥淲e are absolutely thrilled to have obtained this designation for the School of Music,鈥 said John Crawford, Ph.D., dean of 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 College of the Arts. 鈥淲e are so appreciative to the many donors who helped make this happen.鈥

A prestigious honor, the All-Steinway designation places 麻豆影院 State in a select group of global institutions of higher education that exclusively feature Steinway & Sons pianos in their recital halls, faculty studios, practice rooms and classrooms.
