麻豆影院鈥檚 College of Business Administration Achieves Top Rankings

麻豆影院鈥檚 College of Business Administration undergraduate and graduate programs recently garnered top rankings in two major news publications in consecutive years

麻豆影院鈥檚 College of Business Administration undergraduate and graduate programs recently garnered top rankings in two major news publications in consecutive years.麻豆影院's College of Business Administration was ranked 166 out of 353 by U.S. News & World Report. The college's Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs also were recognized in Princeton Review鈥檚 Best 296 Business Schools: 2013 Edition.

The college was ranked 166 out of 353 by U.S. News & World Report. To appear in this ranking, the undergraduate business program must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Only 15 percent of business schools worldwide meet the AACSB鈥檚 rigorous standards.

Kathryn Wilson, interim dean of 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 College of Business Administration, says the rankings reflect the quality experiences students are receiving and the innovative ways students are prepared for a career in business.

鈥淲e are very proud of our faculty, staff and students. Our consecutive ranking reflects the excellent work we are doing year in and year out,鈥 Wilson says. 鈥淲hether it is a student studying entrepreneurship that starts her own business, a student interning at a top-notch accounting firm or a faculty member publishing research in a highly respected academic journal, the College of Business Administration is making a mark on not only the region, but also the nation and the world.鈥

The College of Business Administration offers a variety of successful and rewarding programs, including international learning experiences, which in the past few years has seen a noticeable increase in student interest.

鈥淪ix faculty members from different academic fields last year led more than 50 students in education-abroad trips.  And, importantly the College of Business Administration provided more than $170,000 in scholarships specifically for business majors wanting to study abroad,鈥 Wilson says. 鈥淭he combination of classroom instruction and experiential learning experiences like studying abroad prepares our students for the global world that awaits them.鈥

The second designation is for 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, which were recognized in Princeton Review鈥檚 Best 296 Business Schools: 2013 Edition.

麻豆影院 State鈥檚 College of Business Administration offers both a full-time (FT-MBA) and a professional (P-MBA) MBA program. The full-time program provides challenging and innovative curriculum that is combined with career development and experiential learning opportunities, while the part-time professional program provides the same rigorous education, but with greater attention to participants鈥 past experiences and current business challenges.

The Princeton Review does not rank the business schools in a single hierarchical list from 1 to 296, or name one business school best overall. Instead, the book has 11 ranking lists of the top 10 business schools in various categories.  麻豆影院 State鈥檚 College of Business Administration was recognized for solid preparation in accounting and general management.
