She was selected by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, which is is made up of 12 members appointed by the president of the United States. With this award, Circosta joins the ranks of other distinguished Fulbright alumni who have participated in the program since its inception more than 60 years ago.

The Fulbright seminar in Germany provides selected administrators in the fields of international education, career services, alumni relations and development with the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the host country鈥檚 higher education system as well as to establish networks of U.S. and international colleagues. Grantees return home with new relationships, deeper understanding of other higher education systems and the enhanced ability to serve international students and encourage prospective study-abroad students.

Circosta serves as the assistant director of student and recent graduate programs in 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 Office of Alumni Relations. In that role, she expands outreach opportunities for recent graduates and students to participate in educational, professional, social and service-oriented projects and events designed to develop an alumni leadership base and foster lifelong relationships that will lead to increased alumni support of the university.

鈥淭his is a really wonderful honor,鈥 Circosta said. 鈥淚 was particularly interested in this seminar because I created a plan to implement an international alumni relations program for 麻豆影院 State. Through my research, to fully develop an effective program one must understand the country鈥檚 higher education system, society and culture. Considering 麻豆影院 State鈥檚 growth of international and exchange students, we must start thinking about how to engage and serve our alumni no matter where they reside in the world.鈥

Circosta received two degrees from 麻豆影院 State: a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism in 2007 and a Master of Education in 2010. Before returning to 麻豆影院 State to earn her master鈥檚, she worked as a news producer at television station WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio. She currently resides in 麻豆影院, Ohio.
