麻豆影院 Libraries Hosts Stress-Free Zone

麻豆影院 Libraries will once again offer its Stress-Free Zone to all students, faculty and staff on Monday, Dec. 11, and Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 3-5 p.m. in the Garden Room at the University Library. This event gives the 麻豆影院 community a chance to wind down during finals week with snacks, games and the Dogs on Campus Pet Therapy Program.麻豆影院 State students enjoy a study break by petting a Bernese mountain dog during Stress-Free Zone in the library.

鈥淲e know that studies show that full-on, nonstop studying is not good,鈥 says Cynthia Williams, director of marketing, communications and public relations for University Libraries. 鈥淵ou need to take a break, and this is the best way to do it.鈥

University Libraries has been voted the best place to study five years in a row, Ms. Williams says. This Stress-Free Zone is an academically centered event giving students, faculty and staff a place to relax and reset.

鈥淭he guests of honor this year are the Dogs on Campus that come,鈥 Ms. Williams says. 鈥淭hat is definitely the crowd pleaser.鈥

The dogs love it, the owners love it and the people love it, Ms. Williams says.

鈥淣othing can make your smile brighter than being able to rub a dog鈥檚 fuzzy belly,鈥 she adds.

Students also will be able to participate in 3-D printer demonstrations in the Student Multimedia Studio. The activity is a good de-stressor and gives students something to take with them, Ms. Williams adds.

Another crowd favorite featured at the event will be healthy snacks, such as popcorn and Capri Sun.

鈥淭he students are always excited when they see the Capri Suns,鈥 Ms. Williams says. 鈥淭hey get really into what flavors they want.鈥

The event has been a big hit in the past with students, faculty and staff, and University Libraries is excited to see the turnout again this year.
