2015 Ohio Science Olympiad Workshop

麻豆影院 State Ashtabula will be hosting their 4th annual Ohio Science Olympiad workshop for middle and high school students to practice for their events.  With our instructors and professors, participants study science topics relating to events in which they will compete at the regional, state and national level.  This year鈥檚 event also includes a keynote speaker, Dr. Tara C. Smith, from the College of Public Health at 麻豆影院.  Her speech, titled 鈥淓bola and Emerging Diseases: Why we鈥檒l always have pandemics,鈥 will begin at 11:00 AM.  The event begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 1:50 PM.  For more information, contact Gary Misich, Academic Lab Manager, at 440-964-4561 or gmisich@kent.edu.

Requirements for the President鈥檚 List are a 4.00 grade point and at least 15 letter-graded (A, B, etc.) credit hours completed by the end of the semester.

Requirements for the Dean鈥檚 List include a 3.40 grade point average or above and at least 12 letter-graded (A, B, etc.) credit hours completed by the end of the semester.

Are you looking to dip your toes in the expanding field of microchip manufacturing? 麻豆影院 is offering two free micro-credential courses this spring to high school juniors and seniors, as well as industry professionals, fresh starters, educators, upskillers, reskillers and those excited about the world of semiconductors. The courses 鈥 Introduction to Semiconductor Devices and Sand to Silicon 鈥 are primarily online, with one planned in-person lab during the semester.

麻豆影院 at Ashtabula has announced a new date to honor the fall graduating class as it will hold the campus鈥檚 79th commencement exercises on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, beginning at 6 p.m. in Susan J. Stocker Hall.
