My name is Autumn Ohl, and I鈥檓 currently an major at 麻豆影院 set to graduate in the spring of 2025.
Deciding where to go to college was one of the biggest decisions I鈥檝e had to make to date. Looking back, I can confidently say that 麻豆影院 State was the right choice for me.
When I was looking at schools, I had a few things in mind: a strong program in my field, a welcoming community and a place where I could grow both academically and personally. 麻豆影院 State checked all those boxes.
From the first time I stepped onto campus, I felt a sense of home.
The combination of academic opportunities and the inviting atmosphere was exactly what I wanted for my college experience.
One of the things that helped me find my place at 麻豆影院 State was the variety of student services and organizations available. During my first year, with the help of a few friends, I co-founded the Women in Engineering club. I also joined the High-Power Rocket Team, which gave me a strong sense of belonging within my college.
I think one of the best ways to get involved on campus is by attending events and joining clubs. There鈥檚 something for everyone, whether you鈥檙e into academics, athletics or creative arts. Getting involved not only helps you meet new people but also opens doors to opportunities you might not have thought possible.
At 麻豆影院 State, you鈥檙e not just a number鈥攜ou鈥檙e a member of the community, a student with a name. That鈥檚 something you might not experience at some of the larger universities you may be considering.
If I could give one piece of advice to a high school senior considering 麻豆影院 State, it would be to dive in headfirst. College is a time for exploration, and 麻豆影院 State offers the perfect environment to do just that. There鈥檚 a sense of community here that makes it easy to feel connected, whether you鈥檙e a commuter or living on campus. You鈥檙e never alone in figuring things out; there鈥檚 always someone to help, whether it鈥檚 a professor, a fellow student or one of the many student organizations.
Looking back, I鈥檓 so glad I chose 麻豆影院 State.
It鈥檚 a place that fosters growth, both academically and personally, and I鈥檝e made memories and connections that will last a lifetime. For any high school senior weighing their options, I鈥檇 say 麻豆影院 State is a place where you can find your people, discover your passions and prepare yourself for the future鈥攁ll while having an incredible college experience.
